Pascal Nicolai, CEO, Sabal Development
The majority of buyers in South Florida don’t purchase single-family homes as an investment, but rather as end-user or vacation homes because they want the amazing weather, lifestyle, and tax benefits. There is still opportunity to purchase homes in South Florida for a good price, especially in comparison to other major cities. The prices are rising because there is a low inventory of new homes. As sale prices rise, rental rates rise as well. Single-family homes are always in demand and, at the moment, there is a shortage of inventory which drives the rising sales.
